1. Agreement to Terms

By accessing or using Scanlize (the "Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service and all applicable laws and regulations. If you do not agree with any of these terms, do not use the Service.

2. Licence to use the Service

Scanlize grants you a limited, revocable, non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to access and use the Service — including for commercial, professional, academic and personal purposes — subject to these Terms.

You own the files you load into Scanlize and every result, chart, export (CSV, JSON, PDF, PPTX) or insight you produce with it. You may use, publish and share those outputs freely, with or without attribution.

3. Your data and your responsibility

Scanlize processes your files locally in your browser and does not receive them. You are solely responsible for the lawfulness of the data you analyse, including for obtaining any consent required from the individuals whose data appears in your files, and for keeping backups of your own files.

4. Acceptable use

You may not:

• copy, modify, distribute, sell, sublicense or host the Scanlize software or website content itself, except as permitted by an open-source licence where one applies;
• reverse engineer the Service beyond what applicable law permits;
• remove copyright or attribution notices from the Service;
• use automated means to overload, scrape or abuse the Service or its APIs;
• use the Service to process data you have no legal right to process.

5. Advertising and third-party services

The Service is free and funded by advertising served by Google AdSense; see the Privacy Policy for details, including how to manage your consent. Third-party services used to deliver the Service (Google, Amazon Web Services) are governed by their own terms.

6. Disclaimer

The Service is provided on an "as is" basis. Scanlize makes no warranties, expressed or implied, and hereby disclaims and negates all other warranties including, without limitation, implied warranties or conditions of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement of intellectual property or other violation of rights.

Statistical and machine-learning results depend on the quality of your data and on the methods' assumptions. Verify results before relying on them for decisions.

7. Limitations

To the extent permitted by law, in no event shall Scanlize or its operator be liable for any damages (including, without limitation, damages for loss of data or profit, or due to business interruption) arising out of the use or inability to use the Service, even if Scanlize has been notified of the possibility of such damage. Mandatory consumer protections of the country where you live are not affected.

8. Accuracy of materials

The materials appearing on Scanlize could include technical, typographical, or photographic errors. Scanlize does not warrant that any of the materials on its website are accurate, complete or current and may change them at any time without notice.

9. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms; the date above tells you when they were last changed. Continued use of the Service after a change means you accept the updated Terms.

10. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Federative Republic of Brazil. If you are a consumer, you keep any mandatory protections of the country where you live, including the right to bring claims before the courts of your home country.
